You hold it together. We're here to help.
Therapy for Canadian military families who understand the weight of postings, deployments, and the constant demand to adapt. Our Clinical Director is a military spouse - we get it. Virtual across Canada or in-person in Petawawa, ON.
What is psychotherapy?
Psychotherapy is a professional, evidence-based form of talk therapy. As a military family member, you may be navigating experiences that most people around you simply don't understand: sudden postings with little notice, independent relocations that upend careers and community ties, the loss of stable employment each time you move, uncertain timelines that make it impossible to plan ahead, and the constant pressure to adapt quickly while holding everything together for your family.
Working with a Registered Psychotherapist gives you a dedicated space to name what you're carrying, without having to justify why it's hard, and to build real tools to cope with the unpredictability that comes with military life.
"Military families are some of the most resilient people we work with. Therapy isn't about fixing what's broken, it's about finally having a space that's just for you."
Unlike talking to a friend or leaning on family, psychotherapy is structured, goal-oriented, and grounded in clinical training. Our therapists understand military culture: the rank structure, the posting cycle, the IR process, and what reintegration actually looks like at home. You won't need to spend your session explaining the context before you can get to what matters.

How we support military families
Our therapists understand the unique pressures of military family life — and tailor every approach to where you are right now.
Identify and shift thought patterns driving anxiety, stress, and low mood; common experiences for families managing the demands of postings, IR moves, and the unpredictability of military life. Practical, structured, and widely researched.
A safety-first approach for family members navigating the lasting effects of deployment stress, reintegration challenges, or difficult experiences connected to military life. Delivered at your pace, without judgment.
Goal-oriented sessions that build on the resilience you've already developed; helping you find stability, reconnect with your sense of self, and move forward even when circumstances keep changing.
We understand military culture
Our Clinical Director is a military spouse who understands firsthand the demands and realities of military life. Our Director of Operations is a Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) veteran himself. Every therapist at Serebro Health receives training in the military environment, including rank structure, operational culture, and the unique stressors faced by those who serve and those who served.
You won't need to explain what a posting cycle feels like, what operational stress looks like at home, or why asking for help can feel complicated. We already understand and we're here to help.
Our Director of Operations is a CAF veteran. Military experience informs how we operate and how we support our clients.

How to get started
Military families can access Serebro Health directly, no referral required. Here's what the process looks like.
Book a free consultation
Reach out to Serebro Health directly to book a free 20-minute consultation. No referral needed: military families can self-refer. We'll discuss what you're looking for, confirm your PSHCP coverage where applicable, and match you with the right therapist.
Your first session - free for all military families
Your first session is free regardless of coverage. Your therapist takes time to understand your situation: your posting history, what's been hard, and what you're hoping to work on. You won't need to explain the military context before getting into what matters. There are no wrong answers and no pressure to have it all figured out.
Ongoing sessions
Each 50-minute session builds on the last at a pace that feels right. PSHCP clients are billed directly through Canada Life: no reimbursement paperwork on your end. Sessions are available virtually across Canada or in-person in Petawawa, ON, so continuity of care is maintained even if a posting takes you somewhere new.
Progress and next steps
Therapy isn't indefinite. Together with your therapist you'll decide when you're ready to step back, with the tools to keep moving forward through whatever military life brings next. Occasional check-ins are always available if circumstances change down the road.
